About the Artist
Toranekobonbon, a Japanese artist and chef, began sharing daily hand-drawn animal illustrations after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami. Each drawing, often done on ephemera like receipts or magazine pages, serves as a gentle reflection on human emotions and resilience. Through these sketches, the artist hopes to bring comfort and joy, with each animal symbolising a little piece of humanity.
